  • Honesty is the cornerstone to how we build trusting relationships. Through transparency, continuous education, and a focus on win-win solutions for our clients and partners, we put people before profits.
  • Always serving others is an essential mindset that our company embraces. Exceptional service can be expected from start to finish and even long after an installation is complete.
  • Affordability comes from being small, local, and keeping overhead low. Maximizing incentives, using quality products, and perfecting designs is how we help customers save money and the planet.
  • Quality is a hallmark of having well-trained and experienced NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professionals who install high performance products that match our industry leading 25-year warranty.
  • Sustainability guides our "triple bottom line" business practices, which include leveraging remote processes and technologies. We also choose panels that have earned high scores for sustainability.
  • Safety is a top priority on the roofs and around town. We have a comprehensive safety program that surpasses typical standards in the solar industry.
  • Diversity and Inclusion is not lip service. We are intentional about the way we foster empathy, equality, and openness to different people and perspectives in our workplace and beyond.

In 2010, after more than two decades as an electrical engineer and business owner, Ecology Solar's Founder, Charlie Wilde, witnessed first-hand the devastation caused by the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. As he walked the once pristine beaches surrounding his hometown, Charlie experienced profound outrage as he saw all the harm that accumulating globs of oil and tar had on the water, wildlife, and surrounding Gulf Coast communities. After overcoming the shock that the ongoing disaster provoked, he set his sights towards how to feasibly solve the problems that high consumer demand for energy creates. The answer that kept breaching the skyline every morning was to better harness the power of the sun. After selling his successful manufacturing business, relocating to Denver, learning from some of the world's leading solar experts, and volunteering countless hours to gain hands-on experience, he established Ecology Solar, a values-based and human-centered clean energy company.

Since 2013, Ecology Solar has helped hundreds of homeowners, apartment complexes, non-profits, schools, healthcare facilities, and other businesses to save money and the planet. Through meticulous attention to detail we continue to earn the trust of our many customers and partners. Whether we install or service solar panels on rooftops, covered parking areas, pergolas, or ground mounts, our customers can rely upon the technical expertise we've gained over the years studying industry trends and best practices for net-metered solar arrays, off-grid and battery back-up systems, community solar gardens, utility-scale projects, and agrivoltaic solar developments.

Our reputation as an affordable, transparent, and high-quality solar PV service provider is built upon offering honest answers about different panel, mounting, monitoring, and battery storage options that achieve energy savings and independence. By also combining financing and incentive programs, our designs make it easy to meet our customers' energy and financial needs.

To achieve our vision of creating healthy, thriving ecosystems, we are building a company that also maintains a healthy, safe, and inclusive work environment. We believe that people are smart and motivated. We don't require a hierarchy to tell us what to do or how to do it. Instead, we lead, mentor, and support one another. Every day we strive to be the best versions of ourselves and work together to create organizational principles that help us do that.

When our Founder, Charlie Wilde, established Ecology Solar he knew it would take effort to overcome the mindset and practices inherent in the Industrial Age's Command and Control Business Model. That's why Charlie wanted to build a self-managed business "consisting of stakeholders, not employees, who work for the mission, not the boss." Our company's Participation Age - Humanistic Business Model, supports the triple bottom line approach, showing equal concern for people, planet, and profit. We found success with this paradigm shift. Success for our stakeholders, partners, and customers alike. A triple win!

At Ecology Solar we continue to co-create a culture where everyone can love work and enjoy a pathway to ownership. Ownership of our mission, purpose, work, learning, growth, and business. Like any healthy ecosystem, that thrives on diversity, our stakeholders leverage their strongest skills and bring their different perspectives and best attributes to the table.

"If everyone's working for the same mission, is self-managed, and happy doing what they do, that carries forward to our customers, partners, and a regenerative, sustainable, and thriving community."
- Founder, Charlie Wilde

Since 2013, Ecology Solar has worked hard to make clean solar energy available and affordable to as many people as possible across Denver and Colorado's Front Range. Without cutting corners on quality, customer service, or sustainability standards, we are meticulous about the way we design, install, and service high-quality and high-performance solar PV systems. Honest communication and transparency are essential to how we work with each other, our customers, and partners. We believe it creates a triple-win for our customers, partners, and the environment whenever we help people make well-informed financial, technical, and design decisions as they transition to solar for their energy needs.

Since our inception, Ecology Solar has maintained a fervent commitment to our triple bottom line approach to cultivating healthy people, planet, and profit. When we help customers save money by customizing solar PV systems that meet their financial and energy-independence goals, we are helping ourselves and the planet. As a "brand agnostic" solar installer, we don't lock our customers into working with a "preferred" brand, rather we recommend panels with proven sustainability scores that also rank high on affordability and performance. Our sustainability practices support our local communities and customers. By keeping overhead, turnover, and marketing costs low, we're able to consistently provide high quality service at very affordable prices.

Ecology is not only part of our name, it's essential to our company culture. Our team of solar specialists are passionate about solar energy and the impact it has on our local Colorado communities. We've built a decentralized workforce across Denver and Colorado's Front Range to enable us to reduce both the carbon footprint and overhead costs. Eliminating a large centralized workplace decreases pollution from commuting and operating a large office building. It also keeps positive employee morale and work-life balance. We are committed to constantly improving not only our internal company and personal sustainability efforts, we also prioritize using components manufactured with the highest sustainability standards. We believe sustainability is an integral part of any renewable energy company and we're dedicated to strengthening our sustainable practices every day.

We are also committed to serving our customers' and partners' well. We constantly strive to communicate honestly and transparently and believe it creates a triple-win for our customers, partners, and the environment when we can help people make well-informed financial, technical, and design decisions as they transition to solar for their energy needs.
